How to prepare:
Preheat the oven to 180°C/360°F (fan oven 160°C/310°F).
Beat the butter in a deep bowl creamy and add while stirring vanilla sugar, salt and 200 gr
sugar. Mix flour and baking powder and add alternately with
some milk and the eggs to the butter. Beat (best with a mixer) to a airely dough.
Put 1/3 part of the dough in another bowl.
Make a mixture of cocoa, 4 tablespoons milk, rum and the rest of the sugar and mix with the 1/3th part dough (the brown one).
Stir optional the chopped almonds into the other portion dough (yellow).
Grease a cake pan or kugelhopf and spoon the batter in the pan: first one half of the yellow dough, cover with all of the brown and top with the rest of the yellow.
Stir with the stalk of a wooden spoon 1 spiral through the batter to get the marble effect.
Place the cake in the oven and bake for 70-80 minutes.
